I have found that certain treatment mistakes can be made that can turn into big problems for patients living with AS. Ankylosing Spondylitis is a form of autoimmune arthritis which causes the spinal column to become stiff and painful. Pain receptors in joints, spine and other areas can cause intense pain, making it difficult for sufferers to continue normal activities.
